Back and Forth

Setup: JD800, Alesis D4 Drum Module, Ensoniq DP/4 (Voice, Effects and Phaser)

This song was one of the first, where I took a little pride in the sound, but I had a helluva lot of problems getting the voice right.

Somehow the pace was just wrong and the mood was bad and the lyrics sucked and there was an annoying delay in the Ensonique DP/4’s switching of voice patches, which created some fade-in/fade-out clicks and holes in the song. The only redeeming quality was the phase on the chorus theme and the rather simple setup.

I made several remakes, but I was never satisfied and I got tired of trying so in the end it just ended up somewhere dark and dusty.
